Why do we keep kicking the can down the road?

I’m not judging here because I’ve been in your shoes.

When I speak to people about their case studies, one of the questions I ask is, “How often do you publish a new case study on your website?”

Regardless of how many a business creates each year, 99% of the time, there’s no plan in place.

  • They publish one when there’s an urgent reason to

  • They’re reacting to a competitor

  • They do it whenever someone in their team has capacity

Because everyone else is taking an ad-hoc approach, there’s a lot to gain from systemising your case study strategy so it’s ‘always on’.

This is particularly true when you’re in a fiercely competitive sector.

Case studies are simply another form of business development, and should be an unskippable activity.
