Why some websites are like Watership Down

I didn’t schedule last week’s email. I’m sure you were all disappointed when it didn’t arrive! 😀 I ended up in hospital, so that’s my excuse.

Enough of that; let’s talk about jigsaws.

When your agency’s clients choose to write their content, they often don’t realise:

  • How long it’s going to take them

  • How they’ll fit it around their existing workload

  • How difficult it is to write in lots of little time chunks

Have you ever started a jigsaw and never got around to finishing it?

It might lie out on your kitchen table with the corners filled in and a gaping hole in the middle.

When the same applies to a client’s website content, it’s bad news for you - work schedules and cash flow go out the window.

Getting a copywriter involved ensures you’re starting with all the pieces in place.

Until next time.

PS When I was seven, I won a BBC Scotland writing competition and had a short story performed on the radio. The prize was a 300-piece Watership Down jigsaw with only 299 in the box. 😭
